
好像消失很久了吧。
从复习到考试,再到暑假。没有记录的生活事件太多了。如何把它们串联起来呢?很困难了。
这个暑假schedule满满,好多事情要做:数学建模,计算机考试,IBT Toefl。
1号晚上回到家,NEET到5号早晨。在网上看到学院通知的凝聚态物理国际研讨会。当机立断,当天下午就坐火车回到了学校。
由于这个seminar是在老校区开的,所以这两天早晨6点钟就的起床,挤一个多小时的公交到老校区;中午就在老校区的草坪上坐着等;
晚上折腾回新校区。两天下来,真的是疲惫不堪。不过这个seminar还是很有收获的,虽然有关condensed matter 的前沿东西,我这个本科二年级很难全明白(我问一个研究生,她说她也不懂。),但是他们的工作思路,我还是可以把握的,CM的前沿主要就是有Quantum Growth and Quantum Manipulation的。研究的是在微观(nano)尺度内的不一样的Quantum Properties,量子生长,一层一层的生长,一层一层的考察量子属性。实验物理往往是新的理论物理的先导,实验的实现往往是关键。
他们做的不是基础理论的东西。感觉像是在摸着石头过河,需要很多的假设和创意模型。只是物理的简洁性和统一性很不明显,物理的前沿都是这样吗?物理理论也都是从复杂繁复的现象模型中提炼出来的吧。
下面是它的schedule,红色的是给我印象很深的speaker&talk:我们学院霍院士是可控核聚变计划中国首席科学家,很有风度的老先生;伯克利的邱子强先生,年轻的教授,而且handsome的不得了,嘿嘿;薛其坤院士,只有三十岁的样子,是中国最年轻的院士了,幽默风趣,佩服佩服;Texas的施至刚先生,演讲时台湾普通话夹杂着大量的英文,听着挺舒服的。
